SMAK

I was contacted by Tom and Pamela to produce a promo video for SMAK.  A new Kitsch Music Venue in Second Life.

I packed my bags and off I sped…land in a dark alleyway with bounces ready to knock my lights out… I gingerly passed them by and headed into THE CLUB !

The club is 2 levels.  Dance floor on ground level and lounge on the side with all sorts of weird animations in chairs…and then I ventured upstairs to the shiney black dance floor with a bar at the end !.  Looking back at me were the ICONS of fashion and music.  The glitter dance ball was pulsating to the sound of music so… me being me threw off my heels and jumped around like a crazed woman on crack….

The staff are warm and friendly and the music has you hypnotized with a regular pulsating beat.

Anyway… I video the event that unfolded and this is it !

oh by the way  SOUND UP !!!!!

Thank you to Pamela Boehm-Penberg (owner).  If you wanna join then become a SMAK HEAD and get regular notices on events

Freeze Frame Market Place Store Opens

It gives me great pleasure to announce that I have opened up a store on the second life market place called FREEZE FRAME SHOWCASE STUDIO.

Inspired by an avid follower of InWorld Films I have put together a very small collection of artwork which has been photographed in Second Life by myself in 4K and tweeked in a suzie style !!

If I’m not making films in second life, I am creating unique artwork.

The intention is to actually freeze frame a 4K film and make a clip frozen in time to place on your wall !

pictures taken in second life at 3840 x 2160 then compressed in a pc program on desktop to 2048 x 2048 max upload to SL which makes this 4K compressed. 🙂 creating much higher quality resolution as SL cant upload a picture greater than 2048.

Lairig Leacach – Winter 2019

A tiny bothy in a spectacular situation at the foot of Stob Ban in the Central Scottish Highlands. A bothy – also called a byre, or cowshed – is a refuge, a place to rest tired feet or sleep, sheltered from the wind, rain and snow.

Pictures as usual and a Land Mark at the bottom !!! better wrap up for this one..I got shivers walking around here !!! This place is home from home for my Hubby as he’s Scottish ..so he felt right at home !

all raw pictures in 4K

Venice at Christmas Time

Me and my hubby were invited to an Art Gallery Exhibition ArtCare by Carelyna which got me inspired !  Some outstanding pictures of Venice adorned the walls which got me thinking..

I whispered into my hubbys ear…let’s go to venice !

Plane tickets booked and off we go…whoosh , not even time to change !

This place has got to be one of the most detailed sims I’ve seen.  Walk the cobbled streets with a flurry of snow on your face.  Feel the warm glow of the street lights lighting up the old narrow walls as you turn left and right through tiny streets.

We hopped on a gondola which unfortunately sank but that was because I threw my oar away ..oops ..me bad !  We tried again and wow this is sooooo romantic.  We jumped off at a near by square with many cafes and had a bite to eat and drink… they serve BIG bottles of wine there !

Skärgården

Welcome ……
This region is inspired by the Swedish archipelago coast also known as (Skärgården).

Established by Elvira Kytori in 2012 and focuses on unique and atmospheric homes.
Each parcel is one of a kind and stand out from the next.

This sim gave me the shivers… I felt cold and slightly isolated..and THAT is EXACTLY what your meant to feel… a quiet snowy scene full with fishing boats seagulls and a sense of out in the middle of nowhere … beautiful calm and unique… I just love this place

I took a few pictures on my travels… Bbrrrr… enjoy !  TP below

New Linden Style Homes..

The new 4th Linden Home theme is which Victorian and haven’t they done well !!

The new theme is called “Victorian”, and as with previous releases of Linden Homes offers Premium members a choice of four individual house styles within each parcel, all selectable as required from the “mail box” fronting each parcel. As with the Traditional homes, this new theme features wooden-clad houses, with the styles as follows:

  • The Shelley: a two-floor Queen Anne style house, complete with circular turret and a covered porch on three sides of the house with rooms laid out in a 3 down, 2 up configuration.
  • The Doyle: the one single-storey home, offering four rooms.
  • The Hardy: a two-floor house that might be considered a folk-style house, offering a large front-to-back through room that could easily be split into two individual rooms, and two smaller rooms on the ground floor and three rooms upstairs.
  • The Verne: a two-storey house with an octagonal turret (were it complete on all sides) which is suggestive of Gothic Revival (but could also fall into Queen Anne), comprising two ground floor rooms (one of which could easily be split into two) and two rooms at the top of a circular staircase.
  • There is currently no official release date for these new homes beyond Very Soon™ – a clue to their approaching availability might be when the regions see in the SSP continent are cloned at Bellisseria.

Note that these Victorian theme house are available within the current Premium subscription packages they are not anything to do with the Premium Plus subscription offering that will be coming in 2020.

Newsflash

Howdy everyone!

There have been some questions and discussions about decorating Linden Homes in Bellisseria for holidays and seasons. Bellisseria is very much a community and part of being a community is celebrating holidays. So yes, Residents are definitely allowed or even encouraged to decorate their homes for holidays they personally enjoy or observe.

In response to the recent queries regarding seasonal decorations and content, we would like to announce the following guidelines being introduced as of today:

  • Seasonal and holiday decorations are permitted as long as they are not intrusive to your neighbors and staying in general continuity of the area, as per the covenant.
  • Natural seasonal elements are permitted if they are applied subtly, such as a light dusting of snow or a scatter of leaves.
  • Decoration should not be placed out any earlier than 30 days in advance of any holiday or season represented and must be removed within 15 days of the holiday or season passing.
  • As always please take your neighbors into consideration when decorating for the season.
  • Outdoor holiday decorations are “in theme” with Linden Homes if they are congruent with the holiday season (no Christmas decorations in May or Halloween decor in April)
  • Remember to keep all seasonal and holiday decorations within the borders of your parcel and ensure that no content extends over the parcel lines.

We will also be updating the covenant to include the following:

  • Seasonal and holiday decorations are permitted as long as they are tastefully applied.
  • Natural seasonal elements are permitted if they are applied subtly, such as a light dusting of snow or a scatter of leaves.
  • Outdoor holiday decorations should be congruent with the holiday season (no Christmas decorations in May or Halloween decor in April for example).
  • Remember to keep all seasonal and holiday decorations within the borders of your parcel and ensure that no content extends over the parcel lines.
  • Decoration should not be placed out any earlier than 30 days in advance of any holiday or season represented and must be removed within 15 days of the holiday or season passing.

Happy holidays!

Cut Your VERY OWN Christmas Tree Down

This is impressive

Snapshot_017.jpg

Snapshot_018.jpg

I went to a tree farm today, obviously a sustainable one of course….  with a view to buying a Christmas Tree for my Boathouse.

There are many many different trees, colours, decorations…. BUT there is a BIG difference at this place…. YOU CUT IT DOWN YOURSELF !!!!!

I dont want to spoil the fun but,  if your choosing a tree then this place has to be visited !

200L tree with decorations on it…

but you get the whole experience of actually cutting it down yourself.  Just grab the axe !

Once in your inventory rez it out and CLICK the tree which fully decorates ITSELF !!!!

Happy Holidays !

The Grand LIGHTS ON at Calas Galadhon

It’s been one hell of a week for me and feeling a little sorry for my self with absolutely no voice whatsoever I took a TP over to Calas Galadhon to join in the Tree Lights being turned on.  Here I could actually communicate with people by typing as I literally cant speak so this was perfect….. I was in awe…. the sim has been totally decorated to the hilt and there is so much going on here from reindeer rides, sleigh rides, balloon rides, skating (single), skating like a pro couple too !!!   cozy benches with great animations for singles and couples dotted everywhere with log fires to make it that much more cozy.

I was blown away how this made me feel as I was first taken through a tunnel into Santas Grotto from a ice lake landing point….  I was like a little kid !  I actually broke into a run at one point looking at the santas helpers grotto …. just outstanding

Needless to say I spent the remainder of my evening skating, dancing and making new friends and having such a laugh…which was painful as my throat is absolutely killing me all that came out was squeeks… but I had such a great time, and this sim simply did the job… I FEEL TOTALLY CHRISTMASY …. Tymus Tenk is the Owner and I take my hat off to you and your team..  A JOB WELL DONE

now lets give you the LM so you can all go and enjoy this marvelous location.

THIS is the Christmas landing point which, if you follow the arrows will take you through many tunnels lit by fairy lights on a wonderful journey to Santas Grotto….  KEEP GOING until you reach The Pavilion where its all happening.  On landing you will receive a notecard which I strongly suggest you accept as this will have ALL the important land marks for across the entire sims…

ENJOY !
